Forget it - I chose #1

And here is the winner! We'll see how I feel about it when it arrives in 3 weeks.
I purchased the 4 piece set (bumper, sheet, skirt & blanket) and the Valance (which I may or may not return.) I found a great deal after comparing many sites and even scored a coupon code for free shipping.

Now here's another question... Do you think I can mix up the mobiles or should I stick with the one that goes with the set. (One is twice the price as the other)

One more time please!!!

Okay, it's official. I'm totally indecisive on this but I need to make a decision soon so I can start painting. Here are my latest final choices.
I will likely be painting the walls at least partially pink and incorporating flowers into the theme, probably glueing some to the wall.
Should I go with #1 or the last winner #2 or the surprise entry #3
What's your vote?

Fresh from a visit back home (the Northwest)

No time to update now, but it was great to breath that fresh northwestern air. I'm just glad to be not traveling with a "lap baby" (toddler) kicking my uterus and pulling my hair. That's his last free ticket before turning two (an understandable rule) and our last trip for a long long time. More pix later...

Thank You Ladies! (and bro)

for all your votes. It seems very clear what the popular opinion is and I am glad since that was the one I had originally chosen. I told myself that I would not be swayed by everyone's imput (which I suppose begs the question, why ask in the first place then) but in the end I am put at ease now in my own decision. Trivial as it may be. Hormones make every little thing seem so hard.

I'm glad there are a bunch of fabulous gals out there ask.
Thanks everyone!

Indecisive pregnant woman needs your help

Lately even the smallest of choices have been feeling more like monumental decisions that I am incapable of making.
Now it's time to choose a girly bedroom set. I know I wanted pink and I know I wanted flowers. I feel that I've done a really good job of narrowing my top 10 favorites down to two. (this only taking a couple weeks of obsessive glaring).
But this final step is just too much for me! I like them both.
Which one will I ultimately like the best though? Do you know?
What do you like best? And which one will I?
Please give me your opinion and vote for 1 or 2.

(If you click each picture you can see the whole set up close)

PO

The first show Dakota ever actually watched with interest was Teletubbies.
While my brother Roderick was staying with us he bought a bunch of the videos and it soon became Dakota's favorite, near daily event. This went on for many many months.
So I had this great idea that we should all dress up as Teletubbies for this year's X-mas photo.
Daddy as Tinky-Winky. Mommy as LaLa. And Dakota as little Po of course.
Then one day Uncle Ricky sent his nephew a Thomas the Train video.
Ah man! Now Dakota wants nothing to do with his old Teletubbie ways.
I ordered this costume but I think it scared him at first.
In the end the only way I could physically get it on him was with sweet bribery.
(I know, what a horrible mother. Whatever.)
This was the result of my lame photo shoot attempt
(I am very dissapointed)
and the costume is going straight back to the store.
Forget about a family photo.
There is only just so much candy I am willing to shove down his face in the name of cute & funny.

Beach Party

We recently went to the beach to celebrate the Bday of our cool friend John. What started a very stormy drive out there ended up being a beautiful & perfectly warm evening.
Good fun with good friends at the beach. Life doesn't get better than that.....

Warning: the following video clip may be offensive to some viewers... Contains images of human poop.

So I thought I was a very clever mommy by potty training a boy so soon. I thought I would be even cleverer if I let him walk around the house naked to encourage him to take his own initiative. Oh do we learn the folly of our ways.

Original Balloons by E.P., arteest extrodinare

Oh E.P! You did it! You made my BALLOONS! It is so beautiful, so colorful, so perfect.
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you
I gasped when all of a sudden I noticed a huge package outside with your name on it.
I tried not to peek as I carefully tore through the bubble wrap knowing what it must be.
Dakota sat with me on the floor looking at it saying "wow".....
He kept trying to touch the pretty balloons but I wouldn't let him.
I told him this was a special gift for him and we would put it straight on the wall.

I'm still not sure where it will end up exactly since we will soon be moving all his baby furniture out for the new little one and putting in big boy stuff. I also am not nearly finished with the walls. I have more balloons and scenery to paint but will wait until I decide just where the painting will go.

This special E.P. original has already been in two art shows!
Someday it will be worth zillions but I'm never parting with it you hear, Never!
Thank you so so so so much Em for making this for us.
I know it took a lot from you and is full of tricky details.
You are amazing! I love you.

Picnic on the waterfront

It's not very often that we can get together on a normal day for a regular dinner let alone a picnic out. Im starting to feel the urgent need to take advantage of our good weather while it lasts.
So we loaded up the wagon and headed to the lake front. I think there is something about being born in Oregon that makes one want to hug trees ;) Go on Dakota, kiss it!

Rough start to a beautiful day

I thought the horrible morning sickness(all day and worse in the evening for me) had gone away. Or at least, lightened up quite a bit.
I stopped needing medication anyway and that was a good sign.
But WAIT! Whats this? It comes back?
Yes, just like the spinach salad last night.
It's not fair! Nausea, you ruined my first trimester and most of the summer,
but I'm in level 2 now baby - can't you leave me alone?! I just want the freedom to be fatigued all day without the vomit or the queeze.
And as for you Dakota,
this whole waking up at 3am and crying for 5 hours wasn't cute when you were a newborn
and it isn't tolerable as a toddler.

OY VEY
(who knows if I spelled that one right?)

here was the nicest part of my morning so far......

Going POTTY!!!

Guess who's little baby is becoming a Big Boy?
Yes! Dakota made his first pee pee in the potty! Horray for us :)
Of course when he sat down in it just a trickle came out before he stood up and peed all over the floor but hey, it's a start.

Today's second pee was much more successful.
